AP Calculus Week 10- In Which Chapter 3 Actually Ends...

11/13/2016

We finally wrapped up chapter 3 this week. However, according to my good friend Sarah, for derivatives, there is no end in sight. Lovely (only kinda kidding there).
This week was mostly chapter 3 review and test. The test, which we took on Friday, wasn’t horrible, but I’m also not too confident about it. I’m a little nervous to see what I got…
A lot of the stuff was extremely easy, but I had just forgotten about it because it had been so long since we had done it. I swear we were learning chapter 3 for, like, 10 years. Plus, there was chapter 2 limits stuff on there which I had totally forgot existed; it was still easy, though.
We also learned the last section of chapter 3 on Monday. It was about the derivatives of exponential and logarithmic functions. It wasn’t actually so hard. Turns out, the derivative of e^x is just e^x, so that’s pretty neat. Also, this section was kind of like the last section on the derivatives of inverse trig functions where all you have to do is plug the stuff into a pre-determined equation.
Next week I guess we start chapter 4 and I have no idea what to expect (yikes!). Sarah said something about optimization… sounds like a blast I guess. But anyways, after that is exams (woohoo) and then Thanksgiving (what I’m actually excited for here)!!!!
